Payment Options

In general, payments remitted to the University will be applied to the oldest charges first unless other wise specified, e.g. Graduation Fee, Application Fee, Housing charges, etc.

All payments are due the first day of the semester. Students are responsible to check their online accounts regularly to ensure account is up to date. UNBC does not send out student invoices by mail.

Late payment penalties at the monthly rate of 2% will be assessed on any outstanding balance when the account reaches 30 days past due and every 30 days subsequent until the account is paid in full.

Methods of Payments

  • Online - This is the most efficient means of paying fees. We accept Visa and Master Card and Debit from these participating banks: Royal Bank, Scotiabank, TD Canada Trust and Bank of Montreal. On-line payment is available 24/7 on our secure server. Your payment will be processed immediately after approval.
  • In Person- Students may pay in person at the UNBC Cashiers Office located on the Student Services Street, just past the Office of the Registrar. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Please be reminded, however, that line-ups will be long during the first few weeks of the start of the semester, and temporary extended hours will be available. Tuition payments are also accepted at the UNBC's regional offices in Terrace, Fort St. John and Quesnel. Cash, debit, cheques, money orders, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Passports to Education and Youth Options are accepted.
  • Telephone - Credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express) payments can be done by phoning (250) 960-5631 during regular work hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm).
  • Bank - Payments can be made at any bank, but payments processed through any BOM will be received more quickly. Following is UNBC's bank information:
