          Biography
Asif Iqbal is an Assistant Professor in the Integrated Wood Design program. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. His primary research focus is on protection of built environment against natural disasters such as earthquakes. His work includes analysis and design structures including wood and Hybrid buildings, seismic protection technology and soil-structure interaction. Besides research involvements he has worked in consulting offices for more than ten years and has been associated with professional organizations in Canada, United States and New Zealand.
