Active Minds Schedule

Summer 2024 Schedule 

All camps will run weekly IN-PERSON, Monday through Friday, throughout July and August. Camp instructors will guide campers through a variety of educational activities explaining the science and encouraging questions along the way, as well as introducing them to physical activities and brain breaks!

Time: 8:30am to 4:30pm each day (Monday - Friday)
Fee: $300/week ($250 for short weeks), including camper T-shirt.
Location: UNBC Prince George campus

Registration will open in late-April (an announcement will be made one week prior)

July 2nd - 5th: Week One (short week)

  • SCIENCE PALS: Galaxy Explorers (Ages 6-8) - $250 (including t-shirt)
  • Engineering Explorers (Ages 9-12) - $250 (including t-shirt)

July 8th - 12th: Week Two

  • SCIENCE PALS: How to Engineer Everything (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Active Minds Active Bodies (Ages 9-12) - $300 (including t-shirt) presented in collaboration with UNBC Athletics

July 15th - 19th: Week Three 

  • SCIENCE PALS: Magic of Science (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Wilderness Wonderland (Ages 9-12) - $300 (including t-shirt)

July 22nd - 26th: Week Four

  • SCIENCE PALS: Zoomin' Zoology (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Mystery Molecules - $300 (including t-shirt)

July 29th - Aug 2nd: Week Five

  • SCIENCE PALS: Academy of Science (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Engineering Explorers (Ages 9-12) - $300 (including t-shirt)

August 6th - 9th: Week Six (short week)

  • SCIENCE PALS: Mini Med (Ages 6-8) - $250 (including t-shirt)
  • Tech Trailblazers (Ages 9-12) - $250 (including t-shirt)

August 12th - 16th: Week Seven

  • SCIENCE PALS: How to Engineer Everything (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Active Minds Active Bodies (Ages 9-12) - $300 (including t-shirt) presented in collaboration with UNBC Athletics

August 19th - 23rd: Week Eight

  • SCIENCE PALS: Zoomin' Zoology (Ages 6-8) - $300 (including t-shirt)
  • Health Heroes (Ages 9-12) - $300 (including t-shirt)

August 26th - 30th: Week Nine

  • No camps are scheduled at this time – If you are interested in camp this week email us activeminds@unbc.ca.
  • We will reassess based on capacity and interest.
