Employee Safety Orientation

New employees, employees who are being given new responsibilities, and other personnel functioning at UNBC (e.g., visiting scholars) must be provided with relevant orientation for their area:
  • To ensure awareness of hazards and risks associated with the role
  • To provide guidelines, procedures, and access to safety resources

A Safety Orientation Checklist is required for employees, visiting scholars, post-doctoral fellows, and certain students and volunteers.  As a general rule, if the person will be provided with keys to access UNBC rooms or properties, a Safety Orientation Checklist is necessary.
