The ergonomic program at UNBC is focused on providing UNBC personnel with a safe and efficient work environment. This program extends from the selection of standard furniture and equipment to the setup and modification of individual workspaces.
Employees are encouraged to evaluate and adjust their workstations to prevent musculoskeletal injuries from overuse or awkward movements and positions. If an issue is identified, employees can request an ergonomic assessment. The assessment is focused on optimizing the employee's current workstation, identifying needed equipment or materials, and educating the employee about posture and equipment set up.
Information for ergonomic set up of workstations is also available on this site to help employees recognize and correct issues.
