Biography
Danielle Quiring RN, BScN
Danielle completed her BSN at Okanagan University College (now known as UBC-O) in Kelowna B.C. in 2005. During University she developed a passion for perinatal care and care of the childbearing family moving to Fort St. John in 2005 to pursue this passion. Danielle completed her Advanced Specialty Certification in Perinatal Nursing in 2010 through BCIT. She is currently completing her Master of Nursing with an educator focus through UVIC.
Danielle keeps busy through multiple personal interests including camping, gardening, sewing and fostering animals through a local foster society. She is the mother to four growing boys /men and enjoys relating her motherhood and nursing experience to others.
Danielle’s professional interests include women’s health and perinatal nursing. She has worked with health authority and provincial obstetrics groups/committees to promote up to date obstetrical care in the north and has partnered in the development of several innovative processes to increased continuity and standard of care in Fort St. John. She also has experience in med/surg, ICU, ER and leadership in nursing.
Research and expertise
Current research interests are aimed towards nursing sustainability, professional development of new nursing graduates and protecting healthcare workers’ mental health, specifically in the maternal-child health areas.
