Research and Expertise
I am passionate about working on ecological issues in partnership with people and communities that live in close relationship with their land and harvestable wildlife and fisheries. One of my main professional interests is applying multiple knowledge systems (Indigenous Science, Western Science, Social Science) to guide rights-based use and decolonize fish and wildlife conservation.
As a teacher, I believe in co-creating a learning environment with my students. While curating resources for students, I will strive to understand the unique learning needs, goals, and aspirations of students, while bringing my experience from the field into the classroom.
