Biography
Hello, my name is Brad.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. My approach is grounded in person-centered and trauma-informed therapy. I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities based on each client’s needs. I strive to create a judgment-free environment where you feel safe to explore your experiences or concerns openly.
I began my own post-secondary journey at UNBC in 2009, so I understand how university life can bring both growth and pressure. It’s completely normal to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain at times. At UNBC, I often connect with students navigating anxiety, depression, academic stress, interpersonal conflict, relationship challenges, grief and loss, identity exploration, and more.
I believe you don’t need to have everything figured out—we can begin wherever you are and move forward at your own pace.
As your counsellor, I acknowledge you are the expert of your own experiences. I’m not here to give advice, solutions, or quick fixes. Instead, I support your self-exploration, help you uncover new perspectives to overcome barriers, and collaborate with you to develop insight and strategies that align with your goals in counselling. You can expect therapy with me to be calm, reflective, empathetic, and occasionally humorous.
