What to expect at UNBC 

2.Apply

Applications to UNBC are accepted via EducationPlannerBC, a provincial post-secondary application service. By clicking the link below, you will be directed to the EducationPlannerBC website, where you can create an account and submit your application to UNBC.  


3.Submit

After applying, send any outstanding documentation to intl.admissions@unbc.ca. Admissions will contact you if other documents are needed. 


 4.Accept your Offer

Once a positive admission deposit is made, you will be contacted by email.  

To accept your place at UNBC, you will need to pay a $9,000 CAD tuition deposit. The admissions deposit is non-refundable except in cases of study permit denial. By paying the deposit you are committing to applying for a study permit.  

Before accepting your offer, you should have reviewed the study permit requirements and read the UNBC refund policy

Once the deposit is paid, we will email you your Letter of Acceptance and your Provincial Attestation Letter (if applicable). 


5.Apply for your Study Permit

Now you are admitted to UNBC and have received your Letter of Acceptance. You need to apply for a Study Permit to come to Canada.  


6.Register for Classes

Now that you have been accepted, save your seat! 

Check the website or our email for information about when each semester's course schedule is released and open for registration. 

Course registration at UNBC is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early for both Fall (September) and Winter (January) for the best selection! 

Note: In compliance with your study permit, you must be registered as a full-time student. This means obtaining at least 9 credit hours (3 courses).  


7.Join our Pre-departure Sessions

As the start of the semester approaches, you will receive an invitation to join Pre-arrival information sessions. This is a great chance to get ready for your journey at UNBC. 


8.You've arrived at UNBC!

Access your course registration and schedule, pay for your tuition fee, and get ready to start your studies!
