Faculty members of the University of Northern British Columbia, and partner institutions, will be emailed an invitation to the Prince George ceremonies (CASHS and CSAM) in April.
Regional Campus Celebrations
You may be contacted by the Regional Programs Office or the individual campuses with specific invitations to their ceremonies. If you have questions about Regional Celebrations please contact the campus directly or the Regional Programs Office. Click here for contact information.
Note: The Convocation Office will no longer take RSVPs for the Regional Celebrations.
To confirm attendance to any of these events, you must submit a completed RSVP form by Friday, April 30, 2019. Please Note: E-mail RSVPs will NOT be accepted.
Note: For those Faculty members who are also in Senate, you may prefer being included in the VIP section. Please indicate this on your RSVP form.
Please report to Conference Centre room 6-205/211 (subject to change) at least one hour prior to the ceremony start time. A volunteer Faculty Marshal will be available to provide assistance and to assemble processional lines.
The Faculty Procession will follow the graduand processional lines all the way to the Northern Sport Centre. In the event of inclement weather, please report to the designated faculty gowning room in the basement of the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre to prepare for the procession.
Note: Faculty who are Department Chairs will be invited as members of the Platform Party, as they are now seated on stage. Please review that information here.
Faculty will be guided by the Faculty Marshal to their floor seats and should remain standing for the procession of the Platform Party. Once the Platform Party is on stage, follow the directions of the Chancellor or President.
There is no secure storage space available in the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre, so it is recommended that you leave personal items such as purses and coats in your office.
Upon completion of your online RSVP, you will receive an itinerary via email.
Faculty members are requested to wear either the specific Regalia from their alma mater or you may purchase Regalia from the UNBC Bookstore, contact Mardeana Berg at 250-960-6436. In lieu of personal regalia, you are responsible for rental of a black gown, available for reservation after April 1st.
