The University of Northern British Columbia will be holding a comprehensive information session in Quesnel later this month designed to answer a wide range of questions from North Cariboo students about attending university.
A keynote address will be provided by Deborah Poff, the University's
Vice-President Academic and Provost. Other UNBC officials in attendance
will include representatives from the Registrar's Office, faculty, academic
advising, co-op education, and staff from UNBC's Quesnel campus. It's
expected that some alumni will also attend, providing their perspective
on what it's like to complete a degree with UNBC.
"The event will be useful to anyone who is serious about attending
UNBC or those people who are still weighing their options and exploring
different programs of study," says Carmen O'Callaghan of the UNBC
Registrar's Office. "We'll be taking applications from students
and also providing others who have already been admitted with the opportunity
to register for classes this fall. With so many UNBC reps and faculty
planning to attend the Quesnel info session, I'm sure that practically
any question about UNBC could be answered by someone."
