Support UNBC

Geography professor Greg Halseth is asking you to give to the Area of Greatest Need, providing more opportunities for UNBC students to engage in experiential learning.

Students come to UNBC wanting to build their skills, broaden their experiences, and make a difference in the world. Greg Halseth notes, “The richest experiences are often those where students have an opportunity to use their abilities, talents, and passion to serve others while they are in school.”

This past year, the university launched a pilot experiential learning project to fill this need – offering courses funded through unrestricted charitable gifts, which we call the Area of Greatest Need.

Students have been unanimous in their support for this style of course delivery, citing the benefits of community involvement for developing critical thinking skills and a greater sense of local citizenship.

Please help more UNBC students to access practical and service-oriented educational opportunities. Your gift will make a difference. Donate today.
