This page provides information on the process and the names of the necessary forms for completing a non-defendable Master's Project at UNBC.
Please note: throughout this page, Project also refers to Major Research Paper.
6 Months Prior to Completion
Begin preparing your final project using the "UNBC Formatting Guidelines for Dissertations, Theses, Projects or Practicum Reports" (including Major Research Papers).
If you have not already done so, complete the "Application for Graduation" form.
4 Weeks Prior to Completion
If your supervisory committee is in agreement that your project is ready for completion, then proceed with the rest of this checklist.
Ensure you are registered for the semester you are planning to complete in. You must be registered in the semester you plan to complete your project in, and you must have maintained continuous registration throughout your graduate studies.
Send a copy of your title page to firstname.lastname@example.org (Office of the Graduate Programs) so that it can be checked for formatting and typographical errors.
3 Weeks Prior to Completion
Please submit the "GR 323/324 Approval Page Request" form.
Note: In lieu of a signature, a Supervisory Committee member or student can email the Supervisor stating that "I certify that the project is complete as submitted and meets the degree requirements". The email certification should then be attached by the Supervisor to the hardcopy form.
