We are happy to announce that Go ENG Girl 2023 is now scheduled for UNBC Prince George campus!

Explore the exciting field of engineering! Go ENG Girl is a free opportunity for Grade 7 - 10 girls or non-binary youth to learn more about the growing world of engineering. Meet women currently studying engineering, learn about some of the amazing things female engineers are doing, and participate in a fun hands-on activity. 

Date: Saturday, October 14, 2023
Time: 9 AM - 1 PM (PT)
Location: UNBC Prince George campus - Bentley Centre (7-170/172 - Map
Cost: FREE (including pizza lunch)

Schedule:

  • 8:40am       In-person registration opens - Light refreshments will be available.
     
  • 9:00am       Welcome and "Engineering at UNBC"
                         by Dr. Deborah Robert (Dean of Science and Engineering) 
     
  • 9:10am       Ice Breaker Activity 
                         by Engineering Students of UNBC and Dr. Natalie Linklater

     
  • 9:30am       Hands-on Engineering Challenge - Reverse Egg Drop!
                    Presented by UNBC Engineering Students
     
  • 11:30am     Demonstration and Judging of Challenge Designs
     
  • 11:45am    Lunch  (Free pizza and beverages)
     
  • 12pm         "Where did the girls go?"  presentation by Dr. Natalie Linklater (Senior Lab Instructor, Engineering)
     
  • 12:30pm    Panel discussion, Question & Answer, and Farewell
