Education Leader

Education and First Nations Studies professor Dr. Margo Greenwood is one of UBC Education’s 100, which recognizes outstanding alumni for their impact as community leaders in their professional area.

Superb Service

Professors (from left) Tina Fraser (Education); Dawn Hemingway (Social Work); Mark Shrimpton and Art Fredeen (both Ecosystem Science and Management) are this year's winners of the University Achievement Awards for Service.

Making a Difference

Working as a teacher’s aid in Fraser Lake, Beverly Isaac (BEd 2012) saw the critical role teachers play in communities and became keenly aware of the struggles of First Nations students.

From the Classroom to a Care Centre

UNBC grad Ryan James (MEd. Counseling 2010) used the idea for the Community Care Centre as a way of fulfilling a project component of his graduate degree in Educational Counseling.
