Bachelor of Health Sciences
The Bachelor of Health Sciences program has three majors:
All majors draw
courses from the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities to
provide students with
a broad understanding of issues while preparing them for further
studies in areas as diverse as community health, epidemiology,
management and administration, medicine, occupational and environmental
health, rehabilitation sciences and speech pathology. "This program is
very popular because of the
breadth of offerings. Students will get the best of everything related
to health and health disciplines.” says Dr. Henry Harder, Chair of the School of Health Sciences at UNBC.

Created in 2006, and having established a record of excellence, the program is unique in BC is an essential component of UNBC's expanding emphasis on the health and human sciences. Studying with researchers in these diverse health disciplines allows students access to ideas and techniques that will be eventually incorporated into best practices. It is very exciting to be a part of a team that influences how the health sciences are applied, from research, to clinical practice to the community level. Our Faculty have been recipients of teaching and research excellence awards.
An optional Honours Program will assist in the acquisition of skills and experience that will facilitate applying to medical school and to graduate programs including our Master of Science in Community Health, Master of Arts in Disability Management, or the PhD of Health Sciences.
