A celebration of achievement and identity, the Wilp Wilx̱o’oskwhl Nisg̱a'a Institute's annual Convocation highlighted the transformative power of education in the Nass Valley.

Over the last twenty years, starting with matriarch Elaine Hauck, five members of the Hauck family have received degrees through UNBC, all of whom have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of others.

Students, faculty and staff will come together to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication and resilience of the Class of 2025 at University events taking place across northern B.C. from May 30 to June 11.

Over the past several years, renovations and equipment upgrades were undertaken at the University's School of Nursing sites in Prince George and Fort St. John through funding from the provincial government. The facility updates were completed between 2022 and 2024.

The funding will propel innovative research from UNBC’s Northern Analytical Lab Services into commercial production, fostering economic growth and job creation.

These awards support their academic and athletic journeys and exemplify the growing partnership between UNBC and the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club to foster leadership and excellence in Nordic sport.

The Northern Centre for Clinical Research is creating more opportunities for biomedical research and clinical trials—in a uniquely northern context.

New federal funding will support students and faculty at UNBC in transforming their research-based innovations into real-world solutions.
