Annual UNBC Teaching and Learning Conference

Annual UNBC Teaching and Learning Conference:

CTLT hosts the annual UNBC Teaching and Learning Conference which has grown from its beginnings as a one-day workshop in 2002 into a two-day event that brings together over 100 participants annually. The conference celebrated it 20th anniversary in 2025.

The two-day UNBC Teaching and Learning Conference features a dynamic program designed to foster engagement and collaboration across the academic community. The event includes a keynote address, a diverse range of parallel sessions, interactive workshops, and seminars led by faculty members, with active participation from students, UNBC leadership, and the broader university community. A signature element of the conference is the highly anticipated Lightning Round, which showcases a series of concise, sequential presentations offering participants a rapid and stimulating exchange of ideas.

The UNBC Teaching and Learning Conference serves as an annual touchpoint for the academic community at UNBC providing a platform to showcase the latest innovations in teaching and learning at UNBC and acting as a critical forum for scholarly dialogue. In alignment with the UNBC READY Roadmap: Academic Plan 2025–2031, the conference reflects our shared commitment to advancing student success, fostering academic innovation, deepening Indigenous engagement, and strengthening regional program integration as central to CTLT’s mission and vision.
