Todd Jordan, a former player and assistant coach at UNBC, has been selected as the head coach of the men’s basketball team at UNBC.

Jordan comes off a year working as head coach of the women’s basketball team at Quest University in Squamish, BC.  He previously spent four years as an assistant coach for both the UNBC men's and women's teams, working alongside former men’s coach Mike Raimbault and women’s head coach Loralyn Murdoch. He also chaired the organizing committee for the 2009 CCAA National Men’s Basketball Championships at UNBC. 

“I’m really excited to coming back to Prince George and be part of the special opportunity that exists here to lead such a talented team and play in front of such passionate fans and supporters,” says Jordan. “My experience here gives me familiarity with many of the players and the system that Mike Raimbault implemented here. That familiarity will hopefully result in an easy transition as we aim to repeat as provincial and national champions.”

Jordan began his coaching career working as a co-coach at Duchess Park Secondary School in 2005/2006 before taking over full coaching duties for the boys team in 2006.  His accomplishments during his three years with the Condors include a city championship, two zone titles, and a provincial championship.

The 29-year-old Prince George native played his high school basketball at Prince George Secondary School where he was named a city all-star. He went on to play post secondary basketball at UNBC where he was named team captain, defensive player of the year, and most dedicated to the team during his three year playing career, before being forced to the sidelines by injury. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Education from UNBC.

The UNBC men’s basketball team captured UNBC’s first national championship in 2010 after both the men’s and women’s basketball teams posted 17-1 records in 2009-10.
