Aboriginal Writers and Storytellers Festival Starts This Week

The UNBC First Nations Centre is presenting some of BC’s most well-known aboriginal writers and entertainers during its second annual Aboriginal Writers and Storytellers Festival, which starts this week in Prince George.

Wednesday, February 7 – 7pm – UNBC Canfor Theatre
Eden Robinson and Richard Van Camp
(6pm reception in the UNBC First Nations Centre)

Thursday, February 8 – 1pm – UNBC Canfor Theatre
Children’s storytelling event with Marcel Gagnon, Paul Michel, and Richard Van Camp

Thursday, February 8 – 7pm – UNBC Weldwood Theatre
Keynote with Dr. Greg Sarris. Authors will include Richard Van Camp and Fyre Jean Graveline
(6pm reception in the UNBC First Nations Centre)

Friday, February 9 – 6:30pm – UNBC Canfor Theatre
Open storytelling and readings – Richard Van Camp and Joanne Arnott

Saturday, February 10 – 7pm – Prince George Friendship Centre
Duncan Mercredi, Eden Robinson, Jane Smith, Fyre Jean Graveline, and Richard Van Camp

Sunday, February 11 – 2pm – Art Space (above Books and Company)
Open storytelling and readings – Eden Robinson, Richard Van Camp, and Fyre Jean Graveline
