Convocation 2002

Nearly 550 students will be graduating from the University of Northern British Columbia during its May 24th Convocation Ceremony. The schedule for the day is as follows:
10:45am
Class of 2002 group photograph in the Agora Courtyard (weather permitting).
11 - 12:30
Lunch for graduating students on campus. After lunch, students will board shuttle buses to the Prince George Multiplex.
1:30pm
Procession and start of ceremony at the Multiplex (the ceremony is expected to conclude shortly after 3:30pm).
In addition to the to conferring of degrees, honorary doctoral degrees will be presented to Slocan Chairman Ike Barber and to First Nations artist Freda Diesing.
Last year, about 640 students graduated from UNBC. After this year's Convocation ceremony, the total number of alumni will be about 2900.
