UNBC Orientation Activities Start This Weekend

Hundreds of new University of Northern British Columbia students have started to arrive in Prince George, in preparation for the start of the 2001-2002 academic year.
Hundreds of new University of Northern British Columbia students have started to arrive in Prince George, in preparation for the start of the 2001-2002 academic year.
Approximately 300 new students will be participating in Student
Success Week, a one-week program designed to familiarize new students
with the University and the city. Events will include student workshops,
recreational activities, tours of Prince George and of the campus, and
presentations from various degree programs and student service departments.
Student Success Week runs until Friday, August 31.
Classes start on September 4.

From September 4-8, Orientation activities will continue for all UNBC
students. There will be a different theme for the activities on each
of the days that week: Tuesday is Multicultural Day, Wednesday will
feature displays from local community organizations, Thursday is Wellness
Day, and student clubs will have displays on campus all day Friday.
The annual Northern Backyard BBQ will be held on Saturday, September
8th, featuring Spirit of the West, Maestro, Fifth Season, Skin Cell,
Big Bone Daddy, and Third Wave. Tickets are available for UNBC students
only.
