The Vancouver-based Consul General for Japan will be visiting Prince George and the University of Northern British Columbia on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
On Tuesday afternoon, Consul General Kusumoto will be at the University,
where he will visit with Japanese language students and a class on Contemporary
Japan. On Wednesday, he will meet with Mayor Kinsley and the Chamber
of Commerce, before visiting the Pacific Western Brewery. Later in the

Canada and Japan. The Office also oversees the grants from the Japan
Foundation that support the Japanese language courses at UNBC. Over
the past three years, UNBC has received nearly $100,000 to offer beginner,
intermediate, and advanced Japanese language courses. This year, there
were just over 200 registrations for the courses.
