UNBC was founded upon the value of giving. 16,000 citizens each gave $5 in the legendary petition that led to the creation of our University in 1990.

Over 25 years and nearly 13,000 alumni later, UNBC is serving growing needs for graduates in health care, natural resource and environmental sciences, engineering, education, business, social work, and other programs that reflect the people and places we serve.
