Welcome to university and your continuing path in living and learning. Being a student at the university, no matter your age, is a process
that can be very positive and rewarding. University life can also
present challenges. Sometimes you may want a little more support than
your friends and family can give to meet these challenges. This is
where the counsellors at the UNBC Counselling Services can
be helpful. Whether you are dealing with developmental or transitional
challenges (homesickness, making friends, living on your own for the first time,
developing feelings of competence at university, etc.), mental health issues,
grief, or other difficulties, we are here to help.
We offer a number of services including:
- Individual and Group Counselling
- Crisis Response
- Psychiatric Clinic
- Consultation Workshops and Training
As you continue to move through the university experience, remember to
play, laugh, listen to your heart, and reach out to others. Please know
that help is there for you if and when you need it. |
