UNBC student Briann Audet, Medal-Bearer for
the 25th Anniversary Rick Hanson “Man in Motion” Relay that
journeyed through Prince George on March 19th, 2012. The singular, sterling silver medal Briann is
wearing is part of a relay that includes over 7000 different Medal-Bearers
across Canada. Way to go Briann!

The Access Resource Centre is located in the Teaching & Learning Centre in Room 10-1048. Office hours are Monday to Friday

The Access Resource Centre is committed to the goal of creating and
maintaining physical, intellectual and social access to the University
for students with disabilities. The mandate of the Access Resource Centre is to
assist in reducing the physical, attitudinal and systemic barriers
faced by students with disabilities. The Access Resource Centre is committed
to providing access and reasonable accommodations for academically
qualified students so that, whenever possible, such persons may be
included in all aspects of the University experience.
Our services are available to students with documented disabilities
ranging from permanent to temporary, including but not limited to: mental health disabilities, learning disabilities and attention deficit
disorders, chronic health issues, brain injury,
hearing and visual impairments, mobility and other physical
disabilities.
The Access Resource Centre has been recognized for its excellence in service to students with disabilities by:
- The Canadian Association of Disability Service Providers in Post-Secondary Education (CADSPPE, Award for Excellence)
- The Disability Resource Network of British Columbia (DRN, Celebration of Excellence Award)
