Adding a video to a page
Learn how to add videos to your web pages from YouTube or Kaltura.
We currently support videos from Kaltura (video.unbc.ca) and YouTube.
Adding a video
To add a video from YouTube or Kaltura, you will need to upload the video to YouTube/Kaltura (please send an email to ctlt@unbc.ca if you need help with Kaltura or the account at video.unbc.ca) and then to copy the video URL. It should look like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dERxplKRGuQ or in case of Kaltura like https://video.unbc.ca/media/MulitmediaAssignments/0_9q1tcrba/24015
- Load the video in your browser (Chrome, Firefox)
- Copy the URL
- On the UNBC page (in the edit mode) click on Add Video
- Paste the code (CTRL+P) in the Video Link oEmbed field
Once saved, the video will display on your web page.
In case you still need help with the video, please contact us and we will get back to you soon.
This is an updated version of a guide for adding videos using an embed script (not needed anymore).
