Exploring Career Opportunities in Health Research

A recent Career Paths in Health Research seminar brought together several UNBC graduates who highlighted their health research careers as part of a panel discussion with health education students.

Year 4 NMP students receive national awards of recognition

NMP Class of 2025 students Victoria Rea and Jordyn Henderson were recognized with national awards - Victoria received a Molloy Medicine Award and Jordyn was honoured with a Canadian Association for Medical Education Rising Star – Certificate of Excellence Award.

New Faculty Development Co-Directors join the NMP

The NMP Faculty Development Leadership Team has expanded! Northern Medical Program alumni Drs. Andrea Larson and Lauren Feldhoff have joined Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick as Co-Directors.

They will support undergraduate medical education in northern B.C. and the Family Medicine Residency Program in Prince George and Northern Rural by leading the planning and implementation of educational activities to enhance the teaching effectiveness of our faculty.

Dr. Andrea Larson
Andrea is a family physician in Prince George. She is completing a fellowship in medical education through the Centre for Health Education Scholarship, as well as a masters degree in Health Education Scholarship.

Dr. Lauren Feldhoff
Lauren is a family physician in Prince George. Her background includes rural Family Medicine training in Newfoundland/Labrador, CCFP-EM certification, and a Diploma in Practical Dermatology.
