Dr. Bron Finkelstein receives Clinical Faculty Award
NMP preceptor and Chetwynd physician Dr. Bron Finkelstein received a 2025 UBC Faculty of Medicine Clinical Faculty Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching.

Congratulations to DMS team member Dr. Bron Finkelstein who has been recognized through this year’s UBC Faculty of Medicine Awards!
Bron received a 2025 Clinical Faculty Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching.
The special honour celebrates the teaching excellence of clinical faculty members across UBC’s many medical education teaching sites across the province. Bron is an NMP preceptor and the Site Co-Director of the UBC Family Medicine Residency-Prince George, Northern Rural & Rural Immersion program, as well as a family medicine physician in Chetwynd.
"This award means more to me than individual recognition—it reflects the privilege of working alongside outstanding rural physician colleagues in the North,” said Bron. “Medicine is team sport, and any excellence in clinical teaching I have achieved is only possible because of the support, collaboration, and commitment of our team. For me, this award represents an opportunity to continue advancing medical education and excellence in rural medicine, particularly in the Northeast.
“I look forward to watching the medical students and residents with whom I work develop into rural colleagues and allies. I thank my clinical, NMP, postgraduate, and community partners for their dedication to our shared mission.”
