Congratulations to the NMP’s Dr. Alina Constantin!

An NMP senior lab instructor and our MEDD Site Director for Years 1& 2, Dr. Constantin was honoured with a 2024 Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) Certificate of Merit Award. The award promotes, recognizes and rewards faculty committed to medical education in Canadian medical schools. 

Dr. Constantin has been a foundational member of the UBC Northern Medical Program for more than a decade, with substantial teaching commitments across the pre-clinical curriculum. She has taken on significant leadership roles in UBC’s provincially distributed MD program and contributes to course leadership as an academic supervisor for the MD program’s flexible and enhanced learning (FLEX) program and as a teacher in UBC’s Master of Physical Therapy program. As a teacher and mentor, Dr. Constantin inspires learners across the province.

She is one of six UBC Faculty of Medicine community members recognized with a CAME Award this year.
