Shining a light on the challenges of caregivers

UNBC PhD candidate Janet Ocloo was recognized with an International Doctoral Research Award from Universities Canada for her research which explores the challenges faced by caregivers of children with cerebral palsy in Ghana; her work aims to provide insight into how Ghana and other regions, including northern B.C., can better support caregivers.

UNBC Graduate Student Earns International Conference Award for Diabetes Research

Jake Ostberg was one of only two students in Canada selected from nearly 200 abstract submissions for a scholarship award at the Keystone Symposia on Obesity and Adipose Tissue earlier this year. The honour highlights his research on improving treatment for type 2 diabetes.

Exploring Career Opportunities in Health Research

A recent Career Paths in Health Research seminar brought together several UNBC graduates who highlighted their health research careers as part of a panel discussion with health education students.

Year 4 NMP students receive national awards of recognition

NMP Class of 2025 students Victoria Rea and Jordyn Henderson were recognized with national awards - Victoria received a Molloy Medicine Award and Jordyn was honoured with a Canadian Association for Medical Education Rising Star – Certificate of Excellence Award.

NMP students place first in Prince George Iceman competition

James Sader and Juliette Davies each took top place in the PG Iceman competition in their respective categories for Adult Solo Male Open and Adult Solo Female Open.
