Bev Best's love of learning led to earning her MBA degree in June, Best's fourth UNBC degree that she now holds. Best is committed to using her passion for education to inspire other Indigenous students.

Tania Prince left Williams Lake for Prince George several years ago to pursue her social work degree. The move inspired her daughter Jalissa Julian to follow in her mom's footsteps.

Dr. Henry Harder (Health Sciences), Dr. Ross Hoffman (First Nations Studies) and Dr. Hugues Massicotte (Ecosystem Science and Management) have all been granted the title Professor Emeritus.

Dr. Val Napoleon is Cree from Saulteau First Nation and an adopted member of the Gitanyow (Gitxsan) nation. She is also an Indigenous lawyer, academic and researcher who co-established the first-in-the-world Indigenous Law Degree program at the University of Victoria.

UNBC will be hosting a full day of events as part of the Moose Hide Campaign Regional Gathering in Prince George on Feb. 24.
