Global Friday Speakers Series

A graphic of a globe with North America facing towards the viewer.

Global Fridays started in the fall semester of 2006, serving as a forum for faculty and students interested in all things ‘global’. We bring internationally renowned speakers to UNBC to talk about their research and we provide UNBC faculty with an opportunity to share their research findings.

Meeting six to eight times a semester, Global Fridays are open to all and cover a wide range of topics and disciplines. We meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Join us for some new perspectives on global processes.

Since September 2024, Global Fridays has been run by a team consisting of:
Co-Chair, Dr. Gabrielle Daoust, Global and International Studies
Co-Chair, Dr. Gary Wilson, Political Science
Dr. Max Hamon, History
Dr. Luna KC, Global and International Studies
Dr. Heather Smith, Global and International Studies

If you have suggestions for speakers, please let them know, or email us at globalfriday@unbc.ca.
