Counselling Services values providing potential clients with choice when it comes to a practitioner’s lived experience and theoretical approach. Within our team, we have counsellors who practice from a wide range of orientations and lenses (e.g., trauma-informed, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), Rogerian, Feminist, Existential, Gestalt, etc.). We encourage students who have a preference to let us know early in the counselling process.
