Connect with the Academic Success Centre to build academic resiliency and success!

To brush up on your study skills and strategies, you can book an appointment with a Study Skills tutor.

But if you're worried about your academic skills or have a fear of failing, you can enroll in our Academic Resiliency Plan (ARP).

An instructor may also refer a student to the ARP to improve their academic skills, or as a condition of enrollment or to be signed into a course.

What is an Academic Resiliency Plan?

An ARP is a self-directed resource to help students reflect on challenges, explore strategies for success, and create a personalized action plan to help them improve their academic standing.

How does it work?

  • Complete the self-directed modules to:
    • learn about probation
    • reflect on your academic challenges
    • explore strategies for success
    • create a personalized action plan
  • ASC Learning Specialists monitor course progress, review action plans and offer additional support as needed.
  • You can also request to meet with a Learning Specialist to review your plan and discuss specific strategies for your success!

How do I enroll in the ARP?

To enroll in the Academic Resiliency Plan, fill out the ASC Referral Form.
You can also chat with us via email (asc@unbc.ca), or by dropping by our offices in the Learning Commons.
