This talk explores how equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are essential to addressing the healthcare workforce crisis in Canada, particularly the systemic and workplace barriers faced by Black workers, women, immigrants, and internationally educated professionals. By applying an intersectional lens, it highlights how EDI initiatives can improve hiring, retention, and well-being, especially in northern and remote communities, ultimately strengthening the quality of care across the sector.
