Log into Library Account

Logging into your library account gives you access to many online library services, including:

  • Accessing electronic resources off-campus
  • Requesting or renewing library materials
  • Viewing outstanding fines
  • Saving lists of material for later review.

To log in to your library account:

  1. Click the grey “Login” button
  2. Select “Log in with your UNBC username and password.”
  3. Use your UNBC username and password to log in.

Please note:

  • All UNBC students, faculty, and staff are registered with the Geoffrey R. Weller Library within 24 hours from registration. This includes faculty, staff, and students who are located at our regional campuses or enrolled in distance courses.
  • If you obtain a new UNBC ID at anytime in the future it will take 24 hours for our library system to be updated with your new library barcode, however, your university credentials should continue to work for accessing electronic library resources.

Yes, we can ship to you. 

  1. Search for an item you would like.
  2. Click on the item. This will bring up the item's information page.
  3. Click the blue "Request Article/Chapter Scan OR Remote Patron Direct Shipping" button from the right hand side of the items record.
  4. Choose if you would like a) a single chapter or article, b) an entire book sent to you, or c) other material sent to you (for example, a thesis)
  5. Fill out the form.
    • Choose where you would like the book sent a) choose a campus: Fort. St John, Quesnel, or Terrace, or b) Ship to home
  6. Submit the request. After Library Staff receive the request, the book will mailed to you. Article and chapter scans are sent through email.

How to know they are ready to pick up and where to get them?

Deliveries are made Monday – Friday from the Prince George campus to the UNBC Regional offices or other destinations. Distance library patrons should receive items within 2-3 business days of their request. Patrons will be notified by phone when there is a package to collect.

To return library items to Prince George, take packages to the local UNBC Office, your pickup location or local post office. Please use the Return Label sent with your materials.

  1. Searching "Libraries Worldwide" will show you books that the UNBC Library does not have.
  2. These books can be requested through Interlibrary Loan by clicking the blue "Request Item Through Interlibrary Loan" button.
  3. Choose if you would like a) a single chapter or article, b) an entire book sent to you, or c) other material sent to you (for example, a thesis)
  4. Fill out the form
    • Choose where you would like the book sent a) choose a campus: Fort. St John, Quesnel, or Terrace, or b) Ship to home
  5. Submit the request.
  6. Pick up the item: If you are a regional and distance student, the materials will either be delivered to your home or another UNBC campus depending on where you live. Article and chapter scans are sent through email.

Regional Office Locations:

Library fine payments can be made at any regional office with cash, cheque, debit card or credit card. You can also call the Prince George campus and pay over the phone by credit card. The Library Services Desk phone number is 250-960-6613 or at 1-888-440-3440 toll free within 250 area code.

It all depends on whether you are an undergraduate, graduate student or faculty member.

  • Undergraduates: 25 items
  • Graduates: 35 items
  • Faculty: 50 items

Log in using your UNBC credentials.

Once you are logged in, click the check-boxes for the items you want to renew, then click on "Renew Items."

You cannot renew your books once they are overdue, please contact the library at 250-960-6613 or email. The Library Services staff will be happy to renew them for you! If another student has requested a book that you are trying to renew, that book cannot be renewed and must be returned by its due date.
