The Master of Engineering in Integrated Wood Design program focuses on educating students in the field of modern wood structures including up-to-date structural design, seismic design and mixed structures, as well as building physics, energy efficiency and sustainability. The knowledge obtained in this program enables students to actively contribute to the evolution and innovation in the construction industry.

The aim of the Master of Engineering in Integrated Wood Design program is to educate and train engineers and qualified professionals. Students come from a variety of undergraduate programs in BC, Canada, and world wide.

Curriculum

The curriculum consists of 14 courses with a total of 46 credits over 12 months, developing integrated design and research skills. The entire program is offered in a block structure to increase efficiency and attractiveness for students, faculty, and international experts.

MEng Campus

The MEng in Integrated Wood Design is delivered in the Wood Innovation and Design Centre (WIDC) in downtown Prince George. The WIDC incorporates innovative wood products and design into its construction, serving as a demonstration of the ongoing capacity building within its walls to strengthen BC’s expertise and reputation as leaders in wood-based construction and design.
