UNBC celebrated and recognized all students who graduated in UNBC's 25th year on June 5th in Fort St John. Convocation celebrations at the Peace-River Liard Campus were open to all UNBC alumni, donors, founders and the general community to celebrate with UNBC students and their families.

In addition to the convocation celebrations, a special event was held on campus as part of the Living Memorial and Future Legacy project, where a ceremonial tree was planted in recognition of the 16,000 northerners who joined the campaign for a northern university in the late 1980s.
