Chancellor Review Prior to Reappointment Committee

UNBC's Chancellor Darlene McIntosh's first term will end April 30, 2025, and she has expressed interest in serving a second term. Therefore, in accordance with the Chancellor Nomination, Selection and Appointment Procedures, the review prior to reappointment process has been initiated and the Committee for the Review of the Chancellor Prior to Reappointment has been formed. The Committee membership is as follows:

  • Joel McKay - Chair of the Board of Governors (Committee Chair)
  • Geoff Payne - President of the University, as Chair of Senate
  • Amanda Alexander - Board of Governors Member, appointed by the Executive Committee of the Board
  • Melissa Lynn Bolster - Chair of the Alumni Council
  • Rhonda McIsaac - Member of the Alumni Council
  • Allan Kranz - Faculty Senator appointed by Senate
  • Jared Hirt - Student Senator appointed by Senate
  • Kellie Howitt - Senior Governance Officer (Committee Secretary) (non-voting)
  • Megan Rennie - Governance Coordinator (Recording Secretary) (non-voting)

Chancellor Darlene McIntosh is an Elder with the Lheidli T’enneh Nation and participates in various UNBC events as an Elder. Kindly note that the Committee is seeking feedback specifically on her role as Chancellor.
