University Awards and Financial Aid can help students finance their education. In addition to monies from government and bank loans, students may be eligible for a variety of private, corporate, and public scholarships and bursaries, many of which are administered through UNBC.
UNBC offers both early entrance and entrance awards, but the majority of awards are for in-course students. As a Wildlife and Fisheries major, you may be eligible for awards within the Natural Resources Management (NRM) degree as well as for programs encompassed by Natural Resources and Environmental Studies. Be sure to explore the UNBC Scholarship, Bursary and Awards Guide for all awards that may apply to your situation.
Another useful resource is the webpage for Biology Scholarships in British Columbia. Students in the Wildlife and Fisheries major qualify for several of these awards, many of which can be held at any British Columbia University.
When looking for financial support, don’t overlook national scholarships, such as the Orville Erickson Memorial Scholarship (as an example), administered by the Canadian Wildlife Federation (application deadline is 25 May):
