Volunteer at the UFM

The University Farmers’ Market is committed to providing meaningful volunteer opportunities for students, faculty and staff at UNBC. The UFM is a community-focused project that seeks to initiate broad conversations about local sustainability and the interconnections between social, economic, and environmental issues.

We provide a range of opportunities and experiences for UFM volunteers. We seek to provide a supportive community for volunteers where they can find meaningful and diverse social connections. The UFM aims to create “points of engagement” for real-world issues having to do with sustainability in the modern world. In a nutshell, we want the UFM to be a place where we can grow – together!

Volunteers are needed for tasks such as:

  • Market set up
  • Selling products
  • Public outreach support
  • Special events
  • Market Programs
  • Market take down

Please contact us at ufm@unbc.ca, or at the next UFM to get connected.

Also, please hand in a copy of the following volunteer waiver to the Market Manager prior to your first volunteer shift.

We look forward to working with you!
