Rebounding Leader: Maria Mongomo (7.5 Per Game)

Blocks Leader: Alina Shakirova (0.3 Per Game)

Player To Watch: Madison Landry, F
20.5 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.6 SPG
Following a sensational third year with the TWolves that saw her finish top ten in U SPORTS in scoring, Madison Landry has taken another step. The long, athletic Prince George product leads Canada West in scoring, while rounding out her game with an uptick in rebounding, FG%, and 3PT%. Against a Calgary roster that is full of athleticism, Landry will need to look for her offense, and play within herself.

Calgary Dinos - Record (8-0)
2nd in Canada West Standings
77.4 Points Scored Per Game
51.0 Points Allowed Per Game
Scoring Leader: Liene Stalidzane (14.8 Per Game)
Rebounding Leader: Sascha Lichtenwald (6.3 Per Game)
Assists Leader: Clara Tapia Palacio (3.6 Per Game)
Steals Leader: Sascha Lichtenwald (3.3 Per Game)
Blocks Leader: Erin McIntosh (1.0 Per Game)

Player To Watch: Erin McIntosh, F
10.3 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 1.0 APG, 2.1 SPG, 1.0 BPG
One of the most underrated players in the conference, McIntosh has a well-rounded game that seems to elevate in crunch moments. A fifth-year forward, she earned Canada West 2nd Team All-Star status last year. A strong rebounder who can shoot from long range, McIntosh will command plenty of attention from the Timberwolves this weekend.

Quotes:
UNBC’s Lucy Guan

On the first eight games of the season…
“I feel like we have gotten better every game, getting to know each other and building chemistry. Everyone has stepped up immensely, and found their role. The first half of the season didn’t go as well as we planned, but I think that we can learn from it, and improve on the second half of our season. We have a lot of games left to play, and it’s important that we stay locked in.”

On the strength of the Dinos…
“Calgary is a very strong program and they are nationally ranked for a reason. They are a deep team, and have a lot of size, athleticism, and length. They play really intelligently, and they’re also a very good 3-point shooting team.”

On keys to the matchup with Calgary…
“In order to be successful against the Dinos, we have to focus on staying organized under their defensive pressure, and run our offensive sets. We have to lock in on their shooters, and having ball pressure on defense is a big part of that.”

On her growth from first year to second year…
“I have learned a lot since the beginning of my first year. A big part of that was adjusting from high school to the Canada West pace, and having that confidence to organize the offense and lead as a point guard.”
