UNBC Professor Awarded Thermal Imaging Camera

UNBC Environmental Science and Engineering professor Peter Jackson  has been awarded a new NEC Avio Infrared Technologies (NEC Avio) Model G100 Infrared Thermal Imaging Camera. The camera, which measures the relative heat in objects as cold as -40° and as high as  -1500°, will be used for both research and instruction.

"It has a lot of potential in the lab for students," says Dr. Jackson. "As Canada's Green University, we're constantly trying to improve the efficiency of energy systems. This tool will allow researchers to where there is heat escaping
