UNBC Hosts Third Annual Aboriginal Writers and Storytellers Festival

Five renowned Aboriginal writers will join with countless aspiring writers this week for UNBC's third annual Aboriginal Writers and Storytellers Festival. The events starts today and runs until March 8 at numerous venues around the city.
Wednesday, March 5
Local storytellers event starting with a potluck at 4pm in the First Nations Centre followed by stories at 6pm in the Canfor Theatre.
Thursday March 6
Children's storytelling event featuring Richard Van Camp and competition winners.

Friday, March 7
Public presentation featuring authors Lee Maracle and Richard Van Camp

Readings and Storytelling featuring Richard Van Camp, Lee Maracle, Neal McLeod, and Marie Clements.
6pm at the Prince George Native Friendship Centre 
Saturday, March 8
An Afternoon with the Authors featuring Neal McLeod, Janet Marie Rogers, and Richard Van Camp.
1pm at Art Space (above Books and Company)

The Third Annual Aboriginal Writers and Storytellers Festival is presented by the UNBC First Nations Centre, the Canada Council for the Arts, CBC Radio and Canwest.
