Head of Northern Medical Program Meets with Fort St. John Doctors

Dr.
David Snadden, the Associate Vice-President of Medicine at UNBC and the leader
of the Northern Medical Program, along with Dr Galt Wilson, Clerkship Director
for the program, will be visiting with Fort St. John
physicians tomorrow to discuss the possibility of developing core clinical
training for third-year medical students based around the clinical facilities in
the Northeast.
Dr. Snadden will be available
for media interviews following his meetings:

The Northern Medical Program
is part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine, offered in partnership with UNBC. Its
primary objective is to educate physicians with the skills and experience
necessary for practice in rural and northern communities. There are currently
five students from northeastern BC registered in the NMP. Contact:
