UNBC Courses Underway In Prince Rupert

The University of Northern British Columbia is offering three courses in Prince Rupert this summer, and the first one is already underway.

Each of the courses involves one week of classes and each is being taught at the North Pacific Cannery Museum.

GEOG 498 Human Geography of the Prince Rupert Region
May 10-14
This course adopts a regional perspective to survey a range of human geography issues in the area including the social, cultural, and economic geographies of the region, its peoples, and their livelihoods.

INTS 307 Global Resources - Fish Fights
May 17-21
This International Studies course examines patterns of resource use around the world, focusing on the problems of Pacific Salmon and the international use and management of that resource.

HIST 449 Canadian Labour History
May 24-28
This course examines special topics in Canadian labour history including resistance, rebellion, and revolution.
