New UNBC Senate Member To Represent The Peace River - Liard Region

John Boraas, Campus Principal of Northern Lights College's Fort Nelson campus, is a new appointment to the University of Northern British Columbia Senate. Mr Boraas will be representing the Northern Lights College (NLC) region.
John Boraas, Campus Principal of Northern Lights College's Fort Nelson campus, is a new appointment to the University of Northern British Columbia Senate. Mr Boraas will be representing the Northern Lights College (NLC) region.
Prior to taking over as Campus Principal in Fort Nelson, Mr Boraas was the Stikine Administrator at the Cassiar Learning Centre and was an Acting Principal at the Chetwynd NLC campus. He has a Masters of Education in Administration from the University of Victoria.
The UNBC Senate is responsible for the academic governance of the University. Its 20 members include the President, Chancellor, students, faculty, First Nations, and representatives from each of the three community college (NLC, College of New Caledonia, and Northwest Community college) regions.
Mr Boraas is replacing Finola Finlay, who recently left NLC's Fort St John campus.
