German Consul Visits UNBC

Rolf Papenberg, Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, will be visiting the University of Northern British Columbia's Prince George campus on Thursday, June 20th, to unveil an archival exhibition.

The exhibition, entitled Germans in British Columbia, outlines the pattern of German settlement in BC, including the Sudeten community near Dawson Creek (now a provincial park), Germans in the gold rush era around Barkerville, and stories of some early entrepreneurs. The exhibition will be located on the third floor of the Library, adjacent to Educational Media Services.

Representatives of the media are welcome to a reception on the main floor of the Library at 4:30pm.
