Biography

Our lab loves insects (and other arthropods)! And we particularly love local insects, although we really aren’t picky.

Our current projects include:

  • spruce beetle genomics
  • spruce tree defenses against insects
  • aquatic insect biodiversity
  • pollination ecology (orchids, wetlands, post-forest fire, and agroecosystems)
  • agroecosystem pest and natural enemy community ecology
  • urban arthropod biodiversity
  • other insect and chemical ecological research
